Ramachandra had this thought when he noticed that many trees being cut down to widen the road while traveling on Hyderabad Vijayawada Highway back in 2009. He then began his research on an alternative options for the same. The age old process of translocation involves uprooting trees and re planting them in a different place. He began his work with the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and was able to save 800 trees . Now their work has expanded to cities like Delhi, Bengaluru and Vizag.

Price is mainly depend on number of trees, size and the distance to which they have to be moved. If the numbers of trees is more, charge decreases considerably. The process involves digging the earth at least 4 feet in diameter and depth around its roots and then treating the roots with chemical which help in transportation. Till date the company has translocated some 5000 trees with success rate of 80%.

The process is slow and takes time and required equipments like earth movers, cranes and trailers etc.

So isn't it great alternative to save the trees??
