Zoom Air to start commercial operations on February 15

Zoom Air, promoted by Zexus air services, which received the scheduled operating permit from Directorate General of Civil Aviation on February 3, launched its inauguration flight from Delhi to Durgapur on February 12 Sunday. Zoom Air has became 12th operational domestic carrier



The airline would start it's commercial services on February 15. In first phase, they would connect Surat, Amritsar, Durgapur and Bhavnagar from Delhi. Zoom Air has taken three CRJ -200 LR jets on dry lease from CRJ Aircraft Leasing, Dublin and two other similar regional jets.



The company has already got equity funding of Rs. 20 crs and expects another round of funding of Rs. 20 crs for further expansion. The company is expecting to break even in 18 months and average flight ticket would be Rs. 3000 only.
